Brand Creation
Brand Implementation
Hey there! I’m Cody, the guy behind Noble Crow Design Lab. I’ve been in the creative industry for 15 years, spending time in agency, freelance, and in-house roles. Over the years, I’ve helped some of the world’s biggest brands (and some of its smallest) tell their stories.
Wherever you are in your brand’s journey, I’d love a chance to lift you higher and help you tell your story.
A product that requires crowdfunding absolutely needs an compelling online presence and story. The Kickstarter platform has very limited design and formatting functionality. Because of this, banner graphics and animated gifs were used to add movement and visual interest.
A 45-second product sizzle video was created to generate excitement. A song by a local music group with a driving beat and compelling lyrics was used to support the company’s local community and respect budgetary restraints.
The driving concept behind Novel Speakers is that your speaker should be as unique as you. The product aesthetic is classically inspired. For the branding, those two qualities had to be honored.
The Novel logo and mark utilize a hand drawn logotype combined with Herb Lubalin’s Avant Garde tying Novel Speakers securely to 70’s culture. The printed elements of the speakers also employ Avant Garde. Avenir is used a secondary typeface on smaller elements for enhanced readability.
Noble Crow has had the pleasure of partnering with King Maker Brewing on a comprehensive rebrand, illustrations, can labels, event posters, and merchandise. All along the way, the goal has been to honor and elevate King Maker’s unique and spirited identity. Each design element tells a part of King Maker’s story, mirroring their commitment to quality and their fresh and vibrant spirit.
Kansas has been touring the country since 1973. They have produced eight gold albums and three multi-platinum albums. They are legends of American Rock, and creating a gig poster for one of their concerts was a heavy undertaking. One of their greatest hits is “Carry On Wayward Son.” The song is played in the season finale episode of The CW’s Supernatural. I used this as the jumping off point for the poster. To promote the band’s visit to the St. Augustine Ampitheatre, the poster depicts the boys as they travel across a Florida landscape in their ‘67 Impala.
The Avett Brothers are a folk rock band from North Carolina. The True Sadness album was a slight departure from their usual sound and a statement. This poster was an attempt to capture the melancholic beauty of the record.
The White Tailed deer is a staple of Florida and a totem of innocence. In this poster, the vines and the world around it are taking over. Innocence is being lost to the unrelenting torments of life.
Audio Hive headlined this event at Shanghai Nobby’s in St Augustine. The event was a mash-up of different artists with different sounds. It was an experiment as much as it was a concert. The fun and flirty style of this piece is an homage to the Spanish heritage of St Augustine.
The skull represents the rebirth into the next stage of life. The flowers reinforce the importance of overcoming fear of death and celebrating life.
This poster was created for Catty Shack Ranch to help support their wildlife sanctuary and bring attention to their non-profit organization. The big cats are incredible, powerful creatures, and their extinction would be an awful loss for us and our planet.
